EDUCATION
Ms. Shirinian received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Armenian from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2001. She received her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School in 2004. While in law school, Ms. Shirinian studied international criminal law and comparative urban planning during a summer abroad in Canada in 2003 at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, Canada.
BACKGROUND
Ms. Shirinian developed an extensive background in business and law prior to entering the workers’ compensation field. As both Director of Operations and General Counsel for an internationally known jewelry company, she advanced her expertise to become a Designer and Chief Executive Officer in the industry. Ms. Shirinian has further practiced as owner of her own law firm for business enterprises and as a personal injury attorney successfully achieving settlements over the years for wrongfully injured persons. In this work she gained valuable workers’ compensation applicant attorney experience before deciding to focus exclusively on her preference for practicing for the defense in California workers’ compensation cases.
Ms. Shirinian’s clients at Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen now benefit greatly from her business skills and understanding of the financial benefits to be gained for clients from prompt case valuation, tenacious litigation, and early case settlements with well-defined value propositions favoring the defense. She knows each individual case outcome has the potential to be dramatic in its positive or negative impact on current and future loss ratios and expense for her clients. Ms. Shirinian provides quality legal representation and excellent customer service in all manner of workers’ compensation cases serving large insurance carriers, third-party administrators, self-insured employers, and risk management expert groups.
When not practicing law, Ms. Shirinian volunteers her time doing pro bono work for a local family law center, participates in her university alumni associations, and enjoys reading and gourmet baking in her spare time. She is also an avid runner and certified Pilates instructor.
