Denise Curren Davies

EDUCATION
Ms. Davies attended the University of California, Irvine, where she interned for Senator Marion Bergeson, before obtaining her degree. Through that experience, she gained valuable first-hand insight into the legislative process and developed a deeper appreciation for the law. These experiences ultimately inspried her to pursue law school. She went on to attend Pepperdine University School of Law, where she spent a memorable semester abroad living in London and traveling throughout Greece, Russia, Italy, Germany, France, and Spain. While at Pepperdine, Ms. Davies founded the school’s first Hispanic Law Student Association and served as a teaching assistant for a highly respected Constitutional Law professor.
BACKGROUND
After law school, Ms. Davies represented Liberty Mutual for nearly 15 years, gaining invaluable experience from the defense perspective. She was selected as designated counsel for several high profile clients and successfully negotiated and litigated numerous cases. Ms. Davies later established her own practice, allowing her to build her career while making more time to raise her children. She subsequently joined a highly respected personal injury and applicant attorney firm, where she spent seven years representing catastrophically injured workers and professional athletes. During that time, she took numerous cases to trial on behalf of her clients. Ms. Davies brings her diverse experiences to Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen’s Long Beach office, along with decades of experience in workers’ compensation law from multiple perspectives. Her varied career has given her a well-rounded understanding of the challenges faced by injured workers, employers, and insurers. Most importantly, Ms. Davies brings a genuine commitment to her clients and a practical, experienced approach to litigation, negotiation, and trial advocacy. Her experience on both sides of workers’ compensation matters enables her to understand the complexities of each case and advocate effectively for her clients.
