Mr. Marquez earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
BACKGROUND
Mr. Marquez represents a broad range of clients, including insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers handling all aspects of workers’ compensation defense, Labor § 132a claims, serious and willful misconduct allegations.
Prior to practicing in workers’ compensation defense, Mr. Marquez practiced civil litigation as a defense attorney, representing insurance carriers in coverage disputes. During his time in civil litigation, he gained comprehensive experience analyzing case-specific coverage issues, drafting motions for filing in both state and federal courts, litigating insurance exclusions and working with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to reach the best outcome for his clients. Mr. Marquez also has experience as an Assistant District Attorney where he prosecuted various criminal offenses, handling all aspects of prosecution from arraignment to verdict and sentencing.
