EDUCATION
Mr. Sbuttoni attended both college and law school at the University of Tennessee in his hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. After law school, Mr. Sbuttoni worked first as a field attorney at the National Labor Relations Board in Indianapolis, Indiana and then moved out to Southern California, where he has represented Employers and Carriers in a wide variety of business and employment-related matters.
BACKGROUND
Mr. Sbuttoni was admitted to the California Bar in 2001 and has since represented Employers and their insurance carriers in a wide variety of employment law, workers compensation, labor relations, litigation and advice and counseling matters. Mr. Sbuttoni has extensive experience with issues arising under the Defense Base Act, National Labor Relations Act, California wage and hour law (including prevailing wage issues) and defending claims of harassment and discrimination. Mr. Sbuttoni enjoys working closely with clients regarding cost-effective strategic solutions to advice, counseling and litigation issues, both short and long-term. Mr. Sbuttoni has extensive industry-wide experience with specific issues arising in transportation, hospitality, government services contracting and liability, and construction, among others, as well as first-chair collective bargaining, administrative law and trial experience. In his free time, he enjoys sports of all kinds (especially when the Tennessee Volunteers are winning!), spending time with his son, classic movies and music, and getting outside in the Southern California sun!
