Eric Brinkmann

EDUCATION
Eric received his BA in music from Princeton University in 2003, and went on to study music theory and composition at the graduate level at the University of Chicago. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2013. After moving home to California, he attended law school at the University of California, Davis and received his JD in 2020. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2021.
BACKGROUND
Eric has focused on workers’ compensation defense since joining the State Bar of California in 2021. In that time, he has worked on all aspects of workers’ compensation defense and enjoys working closely with clients and building lasting relationships. He is excited to bring his experience to Dietz, Gilmor & Chazen, which he joined in April 2026. Outside of work, Eric enjoys cooking, hiking, and debating about music and movies.
