Michael Marachelian

EDUCATION
Michael M. Marachelian graduated from Cal State University, Los Angeles in 2017 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science/Pre-Legal Studies. In addition to joining CSULA’s Pre-Law Society, Michael dedicated his time to a Judicial Externship under Judge Fredrick N. Wapner with the Los Angeles Superior Court, gaining valuable knowledge of the judicial process through his service to the criminal and civil courts. Michael later received his Juris Doctor in 2023 from California Western School of Law, becoming a member of the State Bar of California in 2024.
BACKGROUND
Michael began his legal career with Dietz, Gilmore & Chazen in 2021 as a legal research assistant while attending law school in an effort to explore his interest in workers’ compensation law. Following admittance to the State Bar in 2024 Michael committed to the Greater Los Angeles office of Dietz, Gilmore & Chazen as an associate attorney.
Michael’s philanthropic efforts are dedicated to organizations that touch upon his cultural background and his altruistic nature. He continually gives time and resources to organizations such as The HALO Trust NK, raising awareness of the landmine issues in Karabakh/Artsakh, as well as The Armenia School Foundation, which furnishes schools in Armenia to help facilitate improved education. In addition, Michael is a part of the Armenian Bar Association and the
Armenian Professional Society.
As any other southern California native Michael is an avid hiker, exploring new trails often. His love for California does not prevent him from exploring the world, as he loves to travel and learn from those experiences. Michael plays various sports, his favorite being soccer, and is a die-hard F1 fan.
